A short prayer for this, the Spring Equinox. Light a flame and demand your due! Pour libation, drink deep. Ascend and be recognized:

“On this day of turning
On this threshold between Winter and Spring
Between Night and Day
Between Death and Life
I cast away procrastination, hesitation, indecision.
I call upon the sun god,
Helios-Serapis-Ra,
Re-Osiris-Kephri,
Who rises, crests and sets
Who traverses the horrors of the night world,
Who vanquishes the demon-snake Apophis,
ATUM ATUM ATUM
Father of all,
Center of light, of warmth, of Life-
Burn from me all which holds me in dissolution,
Burn from me all trivial desires and pastimes
Which obfuscate my highest purpose
Burn away the fetters of fate and destiny
Which hold me back from the ascendance of my creative force.
And from this blackened soil call forth into life
My highest pursuits
My unquenchable curiosity
My deepest intellectual and spiritual and carnal desires
This I compel,
This I demand!
I am the son of Ra
The offspring of the mighty sun
The glory of the soil
I will be named King
I will be named God
I will be named Universe
I will not be denied!
As the Earth awakens, so too do I.”
